In Northwest Bronx, Banks Leverage Repairs

All of which speaks to the underlying tension of trying to win landlord repairs through bank pressure. Banks, of course, would prefer to be left alone; but they also need community support. "Banks are always looking to have a tenant association or group to put on the front of their brochure to show what a service they're doing in the community," says Justin Foley of the NWBCCC. "If they want to take a picture of tenants wearing bank hats, that's fine. So long as we're getting what we want, we don't have any problem with that."
