Grand Banks, the seasonal summer seafood restaurant located in a 142-foot schooner, is a piece of living history where maritime photographs, artifacts, and the occasional lecture create an immersive experience between diner and destination. It’s also the largest wooden ship in New York City. But whether that interests you or not, you should spend a sunny day aboard for oysters, ceviches, and cocktails and then tuck into a lobster roll and a beer. The Sherman Zwicker may not actually leave the dock, but it’s a great location for people-watching, or for taking in views of the Hudson while a cool breeze plays off the water.
