Tribute bands are hit or miss. Some do right by their name- and music-sakes, while others botch the act completely. When the good ones are great, however, they create something completely new, spinning an edge on the music even the originals couldn’t pull off. Such is the case with the all-female Guns N’ Roses tribute band Guns N’ Hoses, which, aside from having a most hilarious, don’t-worry-I-don’t-take-myself-that-seriously name, rock the songs that inspired their act on a level G N’ R would be proud (and jealous) of. The women hit the wailing, and wailing guitars, to a T, adding a dose of their own flair that’s virtually guaranteed to convert G N’ R faithful and non-believers alike. Fishnets, studded leather, and hair flips only up the badass quotient — not to mention a hotness factor that puts the original act’s to shame.
