A projection decrying the police killing of Saheed Vassel was illuminated near the NYPD's 71st Precinct in Crown Heights. Vassel, a mentally ill man known to the surrounding community, was shot and killed by the NYPD Wednesday afternoon as he held a metal showerhead on a Crown Heights street corner.
