If you think this is the awarded performer’s first foray into cabaret, you have another think coming. Yes, she’s played the room before, but those with sharp memories will remember that she put herself on the showbiz map in the not-that-recent past with Martin Charnin’s “Upstairs at O’Neal’s” revue, where she lavishly demonstrated her various modes of allure and made herself of primary interest to B’way musical purveyors. This show’s called “Stories With Piano #3,” and will feature her performing Weill, Piaf, Waits, Sondheim, Kander-Ebb, and all that jazz.
