If there’s one thing the Brooklyn Beefsteak is good for, it’s the impending gargle of meat and booze sloshing around in a pool of stomach acid. But it’s also a lot of fun. Returning after a yearlong absence, the Brooklyn Beefsteak calls upon the most carnivorous, beer-worshipping gluttons to indulge in a forkless, knifeless feast of La Freida steak cuts and McSorley’s light and dark ales. If all goes to plan, the night’s hired guns, hillbilly trio Susquehanna Industrial Tool and Die Company (SIT&DIE), will drown out the competing sonata of belches with their swinging rhythms and bouncing upright bass. All guests take home a souvenir apron.
