Full Moon in Paris

Dir.Eric Rohmer (1984).
Rohmer’s elegant comedy of manners stars Pascale Ogier and Tcheky Karyo as an ill-matched suburban couple. She seems to love her stay-at-home beau but wants more fun, so she gets a place in Paris for more freedom, but things inevitably screw up. The characters are vividly drawn and the lovely performance by Ogier (daughter of the great Bulle Ogier) make her premature death at 25, shortly after this film was made, seem all the more shocking.
