A little over two decades ago, a quartet of long-haired headbangers called Incantation coming from a depressed blue-collar Pennsylvania town that Billy Joel once sang about released Onward to Golgotha, a depressing death-metal masterpiece that probably sold about 982 copies total but found a place in the annals of underground-rock history. Since that LP, the group’s membership has seen an exodus similar to Mr. Joel’s hairline, but frontman John McEntee has kept a respectable stable of black-clad ne’er-do-wells busy with countless records and occasional concerts. Tonight will be a rare demonstration in discord.
