Tonight, Birkin will be revisiting the songs she recorded with her former lover (and the father of their daughter, Charlotte) to celebrate the legacy of one of music’s most respected innovators, a man who influenced everyone from Beck to will.i.am, 20 years after his passing. To boot, she will be performing alongside the Japanese musicians with whom she played an earthquake relief concert earlier this year. With Joey Arias.
