Rachel Maddow continually reaffirms her celeb-pundit status with well-spoken rants that keep landing at the top of our Facebook feeds. The latest example is her Rush Limbaugh throwdown, in which she admonishes the conservative radio host for having absolutely no idea what birth control even does. Now the MSNBC host is taking on the Department of Homeland Security with a new book called Drift: The Unmooring of American Military Power. Maddow traces our state of perpetual conflict back to the Vietnam War, through Reagan’s presidency, and into the Afghanistan and Iraq wars of the ’00s.
