Matt Zoller Seitz on The Wes Anderson Collection

by

Put a David Bowie song on your iPod and slow-motion walk to The Strand, where New York magazine critic and culture writer Matt Zoller Seitz discusses his new book, The Wes Anderson Collection. Joined by NY1’s Lisa Rosman and the New Yorker’s Richard Brody, Seitz delves into the work of the detail-obsessed director who has produced such idiosyncratic films as Rushmore (1998), The Royal Tenenbaums (2001), and Moonrise Kingdom (2012). The 336-page survey includes previously unpublished photos, artwork, and an in-depth interview with the quirky director whose new film, The Grand Budapest Hotel, is scheduled to be released next year. And mark your calendars for October 19 when Seitz comes to Videology (308 Bedford Avenue, Brooklyn, videology.info) for a screening of Bottle Rocket.
