Happy Friday!
The Telegraph gives us a very cool picture of Eyjafjallajokull and the aurora borealis.
In other news,
• NYU is experimenting with hallucinogenic drugs to help cancer patients.
• The SEC was watching Internet porn when they should have been, like, checking up on Goldman Sachs. On government computers, no less!
• Bloomberg wants another pedestrian plaza, between 5th and 6th Avenues on 34th Street. A win for transit advocates (it would be open to buses), a loss for cab drivers. Pedestrians have always hated 34th Street anyway.
• Explosions in Bangkok, which killed one person and injured dozens yesterday, have people on high alert. The American Embassy advises to forgo nonessential travel to the area.
• A 6.1 magnitude earthquake hit Chile, but no damages are reported.
• The Obamas are on their way to Asheville, North Carolina. Barack, we miss you already.
