MOVIN’ ON

by

This fall, St. Ann’s Warehouse is relocating from 38 Water Street in DUMBO to 29 Jay Street, about seven blocks away. If that move seems minor, though, the Brooklyn arts organization’s going-away party is anything but. Wryly billed as the Wrecking Ball, tonight’s all-star gala, which includes cocktails, dinner, and dessert, will feature such St. Ann’s regulars as Lou Reed, Bill Frisell, Emmylou Harris, Karen O, and Nico Muhly, all under the musical direction of Doveman dude Thomas Bartlett. Reeve Carney from Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark is scheduled to perform as well. The only catch? Tickets start at $1,000—each.
