Residents of one of Sydney’s wealthiest suburbs were shocked to see a half-dressed woman on a mobile billboard recently. The text on the advertisement read: “Are you rich, old and lonely? I’m looking for a sugar daddy,” followed by a phone number and Instagram handle. That information belongs to OnlyFans model Shianne Foxx, who paid $2,000 to have a truck drive the mobile billboard up and down the busy main street of Mosman, Australia.
It was quite the unusual sight for Mosman residents, many of whom are aged 60 or over. The town boasts a certain level of exclusivity, with a median house price of around $5 million and a weekly median household income of nearly $3,000 according to the 2021 census records. And the residents were not happy with the sight. A local Facebook group saw engagement soar, with users calling the billboard: “distasteful,” “inappropriate,” “pathetic,” and “absolutely shameful,
One Facebook user was outraged, posting: “Totally unacceptable that this is allowed. My seven year old read it out loud and then asked me what it meant. What has this world come to!! Can anyone advise if there’s a way to report this to the council?”
Others used the billboard for laughs, leaving comments such as: “Meals on Wheels?” “Target audience spot on!” and “Grossly inappropriate for Mosman. Not a Country Road item in sight.”
But the former landscaper Foxx, who now makes over $100,000 a month on the subscription-based platfor OnlyFans, is laughing for an entirely different reason.
Posting a video of the billboard to her own social media, Foxx said, “I want a sugar daddy, I don’t want to find one myself, I’m over working, so I spent $2,000 of my own money to send a billboard around the richest suburb of Australia so I can find myself a sugar daddy. So if you’re rich, old and lonely, call me!”
And they did. She claims she was overwhelmed by hundreds of messages and thousands of phone calls in the first few hours after the billboard and her post went up.
Foxx shared: “I’ve had people asking to have sex and other sexual favours but I don’t even talk to them if they don’t send me a screenshot of their bank balance first.”
That is exactly why the OnlyFans model said she targeted Mosman for her billboard. She wants a sugar daddy that can take care of her, and Mosman is “one of Sydney’s richest suburbs, many old people with old money — perfect demographic” she explained.
While Foxx isn’t worried about the backlash, adding: “In all honesty, it’s just people who hate their 9-5 life.”
Whatever the reason, though, residents aren’t backing down. At least one has filed an official complaint with Ad Standards. That is the watchdog organization that manages complaint resolutions of the advertising self-regulation system in Australia. It isn’t likely that Foxx did anything wrong, though. She isn’t the first OnlyFans model to publicly advertise this way. The last one, back in 2023, used a similar method and the billboard was allowed to stay after an investigation.
