Party On!

by

We love that cocktails make us act all bubbly and giddy—especially in the summer when the warm weather always gets us motivated to meet up for drinks after work. But why not start your morning with that same ecstatic buzz? There’s no reason you can’t have happy hour before going to the office and still look presentable for the boss. Surely, you don’t think we’re promoting gin and tonics for breakfast? Instead, douse your skin with martinis and daiquiris and you’ll always feel refreshed without the hangover.

Philosophy makes a Cocktail Party kit ($30) perfect for us girls who love fruity drinks. Each bottle (señorita margarita, mimosa, and melon daiquiri) is a shampoo, shower gel, and bubble bath in one and has the actual recipe for its namesake drink. Great if you’re hosting a soiree since you can practice your bartending while in the shower—just pour it on.

If you’re the type that prefers virgin cocktails you no longer have to feel left out. See what you’ve been missing with BECCA’s Glossy Lip Tints ($19), which are named after so many alcoholic drinks (Caipirinha, Martini, Cassis, Amaretto, Grenadine, and more), you’ll get dizzy just trying to decide on your favorite. We absolutely love the Colada, a pink gloss with golden shimmer that makes lips look full without any of the calories of a real piña colada.

Being intoxicated can be fun as long as you don’t cross that point of no return in which you’ve had one too many. Tarte has just the thing for days when the drinks are flowing and you’re in the mood to celebrate. Their Tipsy cheek stain ($28) will give any true party girl a peachy glow perfect for table-dancing and carousing. Combine it with the cosmetic line’s Pink Panty Pulldown eyeshadow ($19) and you may have a night to remember (or regret) if you bat your lashes a lot.

Ladies who prefer to mingle with a glass of chardonnay in hand can opt for Physicians Formula Revined Rejuvenating Face Powder ($12.95). Dermatologist-approved, the powder is formulated with red and white wine extracts, which is said to protect skin from free radicals and fight against aging. Hmmm, in that case, we may have to make this our “usual.”

If you want to get even more Sideways, check out Caudalie’s Crushed Cabernet Scrub ($45). The most popular service at the Caudalie Vinotherapie Spa in Bordeaux, France, this all-natural, body-smoothing scrub is made from grape seeds extracted during the cabernet grape harvest and contains lemongrass, rosemary, cypress, geranium, brown sugar, and other goodies that are bound to lift your spirits—all in the comfort of your tub.

We’ll drink to that!
