PEN PALS

For a great conversation between two female authors with brand new books—Emma Straub and Edan Lepucki—head to the latest installment of the Literary BFFs series. The event will be held in Soho, and is hosted by David Gutowski, aka Largehearted Boy. Emma’s new novel, The Vacationers (Riverhead), follows a family’s travels in Mallorca while Edan’s debut novel, California (Little, Brown and Company), touches on the apocalypse. Everyone knows that listening to two friends in conversation always brings about better topics than a more typical Q&A context, and honestly, what these two talented women can pull out of one another regarding to literature, plot lines, writing, and femininity probably makes for one of the best conversations that this year has to offer.
