The Devil’s Miner
(First Run)

This documentary by filmmakers Kief Davidson and Richard Ladkani follows two young Bolivians, 14-year-old Basilio and his 12-year-old brother Bernardino, as they struggle to eke out an existence in the silver mines of Cerro Rico. Bonus materials include the follow-up short One Year Later.

Napoleon Dynamite: Like, the Best Special Edition Ever!
(Fox)

Greeted with a mixed critical reception and riddled with passages that stop the movie dead for minutes at a time, Napoleon Dynamite has nevertheless spawned a genuine cult, thus making it worthy of the two-disc “special edition” treatment. This new release includes the supplements from the previously available disc as well as an all-new documentary about the movie, a profile of director Jared Hess, additional extended scenes, audition clips, MTV promo spots, and more.

Platoon: 20th Anniversary Edition
(MGM)

An at times unwieldy combination of Homeric archetypes and bug-crawling naturalism, Oliver Stone’s breakout film is well worth revisiting two decades down the line. This two-disc set features audio commentaries from Stone and military adviser Dale Dye. Other extras include never-before-seen deleted scenes and several documentaries variously covering the making of the film, the era depicted, and the movie’s legacy.
