MOMA’s PopRally series hosts the U.S. premiere of Lars von Trier’s Nymphomaniac: Volume 1. We can’t promise that the story of Joe, a self-proclaimed nympho, will be an uplifting one, but the appearance of a variable constellation of stars, such as Gainsbourg, Stellan Skarsgard, and, of course, Slater and Thurman, should make this one tantalizing evening. Curator Jytte Jensen introduces the film, which is followed by a cocktail reception.
