Jim VanBlaricum and Jim Crocamo know how to find the good (or funny) in a bad situation. Brooklyn comedians and hosts of the Crappy Cinema Council, they have been making bad movies funny since 2010 on the last Sunday of every month at Coco 66. In honor of the show’s one-year anniversary, this month’s Crappy Cinema Council will feature comedians, including Comedy Central’s Matt McCarthy (perhaps best known as the regular cable guy in those Verizon television ads), Jared Logan, and Don Stahl, special guests, and an after-party with music by DJ Footlong. Between terrible clips from the worst films ever (anyone ever see Jay Leno in Collision Course?), the Crappy Cinema Council delivers the comedic commentary you wish you had heard in theaters. If only they’d been there when we saw Gigli.
