STEP TO IT

For the past 30 years, the Battery Dance Company has hosted their Downtown Dance Festival, bringing some of the world’s best dancers to the city for an entire week, completely free of charge. Participating companies this year include Balam Dance Theatre, Ballets With a Twist, and the Jamal Jackson Dance Company. Also, to mark its 30th anniversary, the Battery Dance Company has a special presentation by the Sutra Dance Theatre from Malaysia and the Silesian Dance Theatre from Poland. With all that inspiration, you might feel inclined to try out some moves at one of the master classes and workshops being offered, taught by the pros of Martha Graham Dance Company and others. So get moving!
