TAPPED OUT

by

At this point, Marnie Stern is only competing with herself: If her debut, In Advance of the Broken Arm, was good, then follow-up This Is It was better and 2010’s Marnie Stern was best, producing more energy and emotion with rapid-fire fretboard
tapping than just about any other guitarist does using the entire instrument. This year she returned with The Chronicles of Marnia, replacing one frenetic drummer (Zach Hill of Hella and Death Grips) with another (Kid Millions of Oneida and
Man Ever) while remaining as casually devastating as ever.
