The New York Marble Cemetery is one of the city’s more inaccessible wonders, an East Village oasis that’s closed to the public for all but a few weekends a year. This Saturday, the 22nd, the gates will be open for the City of Merchants, a fundraiser for the New Amsterdam Market.
The event will take place from 2 to 6 p.m, and will feature vittles from such purveyors as Green Brown Orange, Kombucha Brooklyn, Mother-In-Law Kimchee, Jimmy’s No. 43, and Princeton, New Jersey’s the Bent Spoon. General admission for non-members is $35; tickets can be found here.
