“I wanted to wear a fluffy princess dress to stand out and be different,” said Tonia Spearman of her Cinderella-inspired look. She traveled from South Carolina with her husband, Tracy, to celebrate their anniversary. “Best gift ever!”

Kiara, left, and her boyfriend, Johnnie, both of Brooklyn, traveled two hours by train for the show. “It’s important to support our teachers and schools,” they said.

Luiza Goodgod, 24, of Connecticut, didn’t mind the hour-long train ride to Brooklyn for the opportunity to see Beyoncé for the first time — “even if she’s only onstage for three minutes, it’s worth it!” She opted for a shirt that she feels accurately reflects her personality: Kanye attitude with Drake feelings.

Chihiro and Yuco came from Japan just for the concert. Their styles are a combination of Alicia Keys, Nicki Minaj, and Alexander Wang.

Native New Yorkers Alberto Louis, Danica Quiñones, Sheila Garrido, and Alex Rincon came for Beyoncé and Lauryn Hill. “Alex inspired my outfit,” said Louis, who wore an H&M windbreaker and Balmain jeans. “It’s a competition between me and him — and he tries to come up looking better than me, but it doesn’t work.”
