Writing OT VIII, a Pot Bust, and More From L. Ron Hubbard: Sailing the Apollo Dec 11 – 17

by

On November 18, we started a new feature here on Fridays: the Voice has obtained hundreds of copies of L. Ron Hubbard’s previously unpublished “Orders of the Day,” which he gave to crew members as he sailed the Mediterranean. Our documents cover the period from 1968 to 1971, and this time we’re looking at what was happening the week of December 11 through 17 during those years.

After the jump, LRH plows past OT VII to OT VIII…

1968

December 11: Hubbard nears the end of the upper levels! (At least, what’s been released so far…)

ON OT VII

OT VII has been researched by me. I have not written it up.

I have almost finished OT VIII.

I was sort of waiting until I’d done the whole of VIII before I wrote up VII.

VII could be written up almost any time.

Somebody at WW foolishly said it would be ready on 1 Jan 69. This wasn’t noticed by me.

My research got slowed down by three things. Noisy research area, the attacks since August from SMERSH, and my body’s tendency to pack up.

The noise in research area is now more or less handled by moving the research area to the bridge. Bristow and Venter slowed it about 3 weeks but Janet Guilford got it done.

SMERSH action is still going on but mostly now from us. Due to the Guardian action and SO Missions SMERSH got cooled off considerably. But I won’t feel secure at all about it until we complete the cycle and Scientology is secure. For 18 years I’ve had to research up against these continual covert attacks and get the Admin done and keep things going and it’s been rough.

My body has packed up before this life and somehow came out of it but during the SO VIII blow up and overload in September-November, it got too much and my heart has bone a bit odd, skipping beats, surging. Probably I’ll outlive this too. “I’ve” even been dead this current life. Research is hard on a body. The results are safe to run — but the blind alleys and rocks and shoals of finding the way are pretty rough sometimes.

So VII?

Well, as I told Baron tonight, I really want to finish VIII first.

VII is a long level, a lot to write up. A lot to do. Not an easy level.

So when?

3. LATE ITEM

I’ve decided to release OT VII when SMERSH is vanquished and things are safe for Scientology over the world.

December 14: SMERSH has infiltrated even Australia’s government! The bastards!

SMERSH

Good News. Adelaide trouble had a reprieve when they did not pass a ban bill at once but delayed it until Feb due to the filibuster tactics of our opposition and the ferocity of our defense. The “Parliament” there was considering a bill to ban Scn, backed of course by the Health Minister who is a SMERSH appointee.

December 17: Anyone know anything about this Berez?

2. GOVERNMENTS

We salvage people. The enemy kills and injures people. We do good. The enemy does vicious things.

Governments side with the enemy and attack US.

Anyone whom we have allegedly wronged can still talk. The people the enemy wrongs can’t — they’re dead.

So if this is true that governments find their most basic agreement with the enemy, then what does that make governments?

3. B. BEREZ

Goodbye, Mr. Berez. You who used ethics most wrongly were found with a huge tin of marijuana to be the most out-ethics person aboard.

B. Berez, you were the longest aboard in all the out ethics days of the old RSM.

We can blow some charge on that.

So goodbye Mr. Berez. I trust you will soon go up in smoke.

December 14: Nothing makes Hubbard happier than to hear that the money is flowing in than holiday cheer.

HEY HEY HEY

C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S!

By T-R-E-N-D the MAJORITY of AOLAs STATS ARE IN AFFLUENCE — AFFLUENCE BY TREND!!!! Releases and Clears as well! C/O Fred Hare is reeling ripping the top off the rocket stats.

ASHO and ASHO FOUNDATION GIs are both in AFFLUENCE by Trend. C/O Ira Chaleff helped by the Guardian Office US have got a show on the road with student points blowing the stratosphere for US Class VIs in the making.

I don’t need any other Christmas pressent! With AF, and EU in a sick moan and Scn orgs staggering it was a time when one needed real good news. And there it was, brought in by the new US recruits. These stats are as of 10 December, just four days ago!

Hurrah – hurrah – hurrah!

There’s a lot of guys out there doing a terrific job. Three cheers for them.

Let’s back them up here to the limit! They need a lot of basic things like hats, checksheets, packs, a splendid USLO to help, better tapes, highly skilled executives, auditors auditors auditors and case supers.

If we can get the auditors on any continent we can send the culture soaring. We MUST have working successful orgs out there.

And here’s our AOLA and ASHO pushing right on through.

And December is the tough month in the US!!!

So more power to them.

Let’s work like fury here and back them up!!!!!

Three cheers for all our great guys at ASHO, AOLA and Guardian’s Office getting the job done!
