Fork in the Road has learned from a trusted source that Jacqueline Lombard has taken the position of executive chef at 69 Gansevoort, the new restaurant slated to open in the former Florent space. Calls to Lombard and Corey Lane, one of the restaurant’s owners, were not returned. Lombard is a former sous chef at Otto, and is the owner of Jacqueline Lombard Events, a Greenpoint-based “all-organic, all-local mobile restaurant and wine education company” that’s done events for fashion industry fixtures like Jil Sander, Stella McCartney and Elle MacPherson. There’s also a YouTube video with Lombard as “The Green Gourmet,” demonstrating how to cook Parmesan-pistachio-crusted lamb with tarragon aioli for a dinner party.
