The buzz: Served neat or on the rocks, this Alphabet City restobar’s beverage might seem like more of a straight liquor pour than a drinkable cocktail. However, Common Ground blends bananas, brown sugar, and Tennessee whiskey in-house, allowing the elixir to marinate for several days and develop a truly distinct flavor. The final result? A damned pleasant — and competitively priced — glass of Jack, in which molasses and fruity elements keep the drink sippable and warming.
