The Dans Le Noir? saga continues! After declaring their intentions in August to take over the former Tonic space on Norfolk Street, the owners of the French-based chain of “dining in the dark” restaurants subsequently backed out of the deal and retreated into the wilderness. Now it looks like they’ve resurfaced in Tribeca: According to the Tribeca Citizen, the company has applied for a liquor license for 54-56 Franklin Street, between Lafayette and Broadway. Should all go according to plan, the restaurant — which will occupy the former home of the Lafayette Bar & Grill — will open in March 2011, per the DLN site.
