Death & Company Closed Temporarily Since Fire; Schnitzel & Things Closes for Good in Midtown


Death & Company has been closed since a small fire damaged the bar’s kitchen a few days ago, says owner David Kaplan. But Kaplan reassures Fork in the Road that the East Village cocktail bar is finishing up repairs and plans to reopen this week, on Wednesday or Thursday. 433 E. 6th St.

Schnitzel & Things‘ midtown location closed on Friday. The owners told Midtown Lunch that they’re moving a kitchen to Red Hook with plans to open a retail store.
