Eataly turns one next week. And while that may seem hard to believe (we’re still recovering from the opening-day melee), less so is the news that it will celebrate by getting even bigger.
Zagat reports that the Italian food megalith has colonized an adjacent storefront that it will soon turn into a cooking school that will accommodate 50 students. This is, of course, in addition to La Scuola di Eataly, the cooking school that Eataly already operates under the guidance of Dean Lidia Bastianich. Should all go according to plan, the new school will open sometime in 2012, and will be launched as (of course) a pop-up restaurant showcasing regional Italian food.
