If the Occupy Wall Street protests don’t eventually force stricter banking regulations or greater wealth equality, the movement can at least take responsibility for one love connection. Emery Abdel-Latif, 24, and Micha Balon, 19, met at Zuccotti Park in September and tied the knot today in a ceremony officiated by an NYU chaplain. Thanks to MSNBC’s Meg Robertson, you can listen to part of the wedding here. Congratulations, Emery and Micha, you now have a pretty cool story to tell when people ask where you first met.
In honor of your special day, here’s something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue:
Something old:
Graham Nash and David Crosby.
Something new:
Bathrooms.
Something borrowed:
Zuccotti Park.
Something blue:
The constant police presence.
