Where can you meet a couple of Bond girls, the real Chewbacca, and hordes of Trekkies this weekend? If you’re a comics collector, you already know the answer is the Big Apple Comic Book Art, Toy & Sci-Fi Expo, one of the best conventions around to find rare comic books, toys, movies, T-shirts, and memorabilia. Sit in on panel discussions with comic-book artists, check out films, or get your photo taken with celebrities only a geek could love (Kate Mulgrew, who plays Captain Kathryn Janeway on Star Trek: Voyager, appears today from 3 to 6 p.m.). The main event is Captain Zorikh’s Costume Contest (Saturday at 6 p.m.), in which contestants introduce themselves by their character names and then present a two-minute performance on stage—the more bizarre, the better.
