GHOST BUSTERS

At the time of writing this, Balam Acab (IRL: 20-year-old Pennsylvanian Alex Koone) has played as many shows as he has released albums. That’s two, if you’re counting, and it should be more than enough to fill Bleecker Street’s (le) Poisson Rouge to capacity when Koone finally brings his one-man act to New York tonight. In fact, even without the full-lengths, last year’s See Birds EP might have done the trick, its slowed-down tempos and vocals placing it firmly in the nascent “Witch House” scene of experimental electronic music that his more recent Wander/Wonder would kiss goodbye.
