Tumult reigns supreme in the Mostly Other People Do The Killing trumpeter’s threesome. The extended vocabulary he speaks with his horn is dedicated to any and all textures brass can accommodate, and the thrust of bassist John Hebért and drummer Kassa Overall always gives him plenty of tension to mess with. Even when their extended forays take on a gentle touch, there’s a wealth of physicality in play.
