SHATTERED LENS

by

In 2011, 40-year-old Tim Hetherington was photographing combat in Libya when he was killed alongside fellow photographer Chris Hondros. Known for his attention to people rather than combat, Hetherington brought an artist’s eye to his war photography. His friend, writer and director Sebastian Junger, has now released Which Way Is the Front Line From Here? The Life and Time of Tim Hetherington, which employs footage Hetherington captured while overseas, including the final hours in Libya before his death. As a part of the “Stranger Than Fiction” documentary series at IFC, Junger joins Alan Huffman, author of Here I Am: The Story of Tim Hetherington, War Photographer, for a Q&A after the screening.
