On Wednesday, four members of the hit musical Hamilton sat at a folding table outside the Richard Rogers Theatre and registered American theater fans to vote this fall. The cast members — Jasmine Cephas Jones, Syndee Winters, Sasha Hollinger, and Okieriete “Oak” Onaodowan — were trained in the registration process by the Hispanic Federation, an organization that provides community services to the hispanic community in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
“Voting honors our democracy, honors our founding fathers, and honors the spirit of our show,” said Hamilton‘s producer, Jeffery Seller. “We want to do our part to help all citizens participate in an election that will deeply affect the direction of our country.”
