Former Australian Married At First Sight star made over $1M on OnlyFans, but quit after “finding God” — but that’s not stopping her from sharing barely-there bikini photos or lingerie-clad selfies on Instagram. (Or from leaving up all those more risque photos from her earlier days on the platform which are a brief scroll down.)
Hayley Vernon, 32, is a former finance broker from Melbourne who made a splash on Married at First Sight in 2020 before turning to OnlyFans. Vernon is also very easily found on multiple porn sites, with the videos pointing to her OnlyFans account. It’s not clear if her account on the subscription-based platform is still active, but Vernon assures her followers on Instagram that she is all in on her newfound faith.
So much so that she is selling all her “sexy lingerie” since she doesn’t need it anymore — though her Instagram account begs to differ. But Vernon said about the lingerie: “I used to think that lingerie and dressing a certain way would make me feel empowered. It didn’t, it did the opposite. But I have so many baskets of expensive lingerie that I’m no longer going to need or use.”
In case you were wondering, she did assure everyone that “They are obviously all clean.”
So how does one go from creating X-rated porn for profit on OnlyFans to publicly decrying the industry and going all in on Christianity?
Well, in her initial announcement of the decision, Vernon said, “I know that God has bigger plans for me than what I’m doing.” She also shared a video of her being baptized in a lake, with the caption: “Yesterday I was born again in my faith making a public declaration to the outside world based on the inward transformation I have experienced through finding Christ. My relationship with my faith has changed every aspect of my life.”
Vernon kept going: “IYKYN and if you don’t when I say EVERY aspect I hand on heart can confirm not one negative has come through finding Christianity, quiet the contrary every corner has levelled up and what wasn’t serving me has fallen to the wayside. There isn’t enough space or even words to explain the transformative goodness of God. Every inch of my life has changed for the better, finding my faith has given me a firmer foundation to live my life on.”
In a recent podcast episode, Vernon joined Joshua Fox to talk about how OnlyFans ruined her life.
“The line becomes quite blurred. You start acting so much and becoming this character that isn’t you, that you actually forget to be you. Then when it comes to interacting in everyday life and normal conversations you actually start getting riddled with anxiety and fear. Because you’re so used to standing on something that is so far removed from who God has called you to be and who you were made to be. That you just don’t have a firm foundation any more.”
Some people doubt how genuine her conversion is. In this Reddit thread, people speculated that it was all a scam.
“What does this tell me? OF is no longer profitable so let’s grift off Christianity,” said one user.
Another added, “In a video shared to Instagram in April, Hayley confirmed she’s ceasing all adult work “effective immediately”, saying she has nine or ten more releases left and will not be filming any more videos for OnlyFans from now on. So it’s not effective immediately then is it?? Still making those last few coins?? If she was truly repenting then those videos would be shelved. It’s the new thing for hoes to find the lord then go this trad-wife route.”
Another wished her well but was concerned about another MAFS star who Vernon talked into joining OnlyFans with her: “I love how Hayley convinced Mishel (the older lady on her series in her 50s) to get into OF as well and called it empowering and now she’s saying it’s soul destroying 😬 this shit never ends well for mental health. She does seem like a nice person though and glad she’s happier now.”
Only time will tell if Vernon’s conversion is genuine or just the next step in her plan.
