Perich keeps finding new things to do with just one bit. “Eighteen Linear Constructions,” on display at Issue Project Room throughout February, finds his chips generating stunningly lo-fi video across a wall of individually blinking monitors. At the Stone, Perich—whose simple vibrations lend lush tonal purity to his unblinking minimalism-will debut a piece for the Ensemble Pamplemousse, arranging chips into clusters of white noise against Pamplemousse’s violin, cello, flute, and percussion. The 20-something composer/artist/inventor will also reprise “1/4 Revolution,” features haunting drone-glissandos for viola trio and three-channel one-bit.
