A spectacular line-up
of African and African American talent ruled the runway of the Puck Building last Tuesday,
at Absolut Africa’s Fashion Outreach
gala. The designer Montgomery, who recently opened a shop just a few blocks from the Puck, was honored with a first-ever Absolut Style Award, having been recommended for
that laurel by Fashion Outreach, a not-for-profit organization
that works toward improving minority representation in the fashion business.
The invitation read “festive” and attendees happily complied, decking themselves
in a glittering array of millennial costumes.
