After the morning’s march, nearly 1,000 would-be ralliers gathered in Central Park, laid down their signs, and rested in the shade. “We’re all waiting to see what’s going to happen,” said Mike, 37, of Manhattan. While groups such as the Manhattan Libertarian Party and the Revolutionary Communist Youth Brigade gave loud interviews to the large number of reporters who had arrived in several large sound trucks, the gathering remained peaceful, even a little dull for some. “I was thinking about getting arrested,” admitted a middle-aged woman to her husband on the subway home.
