On Rosie O’Donnell‘s show on OWN, Sandra Bernhard appeared.
Must have been lesbian comic night.
And Sandra said something to the effect that Whitney Houston‘s demise stemmed from an inability to accept her sexuality and the weirdness that resulted from that.
It’s something a lot of us have said right here by the La Daily Musto watercooler.
I wrote a blog about how all the Whitney obits left out the way the pressure to sexually conform must have placed a toll on the singer, who was often a puppet of other people’s desires for what they wanted her to accomplish.
But it’s nice to have it validated on an actual television show.
And while Sandra herself had problems with the word “lesbian” at one time, at least she never married Bobby Brown.
In other celebs-clocking-each-other news, Mad Men‘s Elisabeth Moss has finally spoken out about her ex, Fred Armisen:
She tells People:
“One of the greatest things I heard someone say about him is, ‘He’s so great doing impersonations. But the greatest impersonation he does is that of a normal person.’
“To me, that sums it up …I’ve never told anyone that. And I don’t want to waste any more of my life talking about it.”
But bear in mind that Elisabeth has been doing a great impersonation of a Scientologist.
