The religious type would think a place named “Christchurch” would be a little more protected from anything not covered via an “Acts of God” insurance clause. But, uh, not so much.
Christchurch, New Zealand….which is here:

Woke up this morning (or tomorrow morning, there…which is crazy) to a slight disturbance. Like a 7.0 magnitude earthquake, and a 5.7 aftershock 20 minutes later. What does a 7.0 earthquake feel like?
Via CNN, likely absolutely fucking terrifying:
- Like “a freight train running through the house.”
- It turned one guy’s house “upside down, with crockery breaking.”
- Guy at an airport: “The entire terminal started shaking,” he said
- Holiday Inn manager: “Big cracks in the walls. It was a big big long jolt, and the building moved a lot,” he said.
And now you know.
