On Saturday, July 12, over 600 volunteers came together for Saturday Serve, James River Church’s monthly volunteer initiative focused on meeting real needs in the community.
In partnership with the national humanitarian relief organization Convoy of Hope, volunteers packed essential items—from groceries to hygiene kits—to support local families facing hardship. The scene was filled with energy and unity: parents working alongside their children, friends teaming up, and newcomers jumping in with open hands and open hearts.
Service Starts Young—and Lasts a Lifetime
A standout feature of Saturday Serve is its family-friendly approach. Children wearing “Serve Team” shirts joined their parents in hands-on service, creating a unique opportunity for younger generations to see generosity in action.
