Via Flavorwire, it’d appear that NYU-bred megapop star Lady Gaga has now broken the cultural threshold of having been mentioned in a New Yorker cartoon, the greater implication of which can lead us to one of two conclusions.
Those two possible conclusions, in no particular order, are:
A) Lady Gaga is officially “highbrow-friendly,” or
B) The New Yorker is continuing on a pattern of becoming “lowbrow-friendly.”
The choice is yours.
