To protest the deaths of Eric Garner and Michael Brown, and the non-indictments of their killers, the Millions March drew tens of thousands of protesters who stretched over a mile, going from Washington Square Park up to Midown and then downtown near police headquarters. A large group of marchers then shut down traffic on the nearby Brooklyn Bridge, and several protesters attacked to NYPD officers on the bridge. The cops were knocked to the ground and kicked by various people, and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to reports.
