Another singer has joined the likes of Cardi B, Rico Nasty and Kash Doll, yeule and Tyga on the subscription-based platform, OnlyFans. In a time when musicians are struggling to make ends meet due to low streaming revenue, outrageous costs of touring, and airtight contracts with record labels, artists are turning to the platform to just get by.
And now Cuban singer Seidy La Niña has joined the ranks. The urban singer was encouraged to create her account on the infamous platform by Cuban adult film actress Angelina Castro.
Castro encouraged La Niña to embrace her sensuality and capitalize on it. And with a mentor like Castro, La Niña couldn’t help but agree.
After all, La Niña had already been sharing revealing and sensual content for free on social media. Why not move it to a subscription-based platform where she can profit from creating the same kind of content?
Angelina told her that her future was not in music but rather in exclusive adult content, and the singer decided to give it a try, and it seems to be working out well for her. So well that La Niña claims that she earned nearly $20,000 in her first 25 hours on the platform. The singer shared about her experience in a video on Instagram, saying: “This seems crazy to me. Should I show it to you? Phew, I think I’ve never seen so much money at once.”
The artist went on to display her earnings screen.
“Do you really think I want to grab a microphone again in my life?”, she said laughing, implying that she may just focus on creating exclusive content for the platform instead of returning to the stage.
On that video people shared their mixed opinions in the comments.
One wanted advice, writing: “Make a video explaining the step by step. Mom, help the entrepreneurs.”
Another argues that leaving music is the wrong move: “No, my love, you have to keep fighting because you are an artist. There’s OnlyFans, but your career comes first.”
One supportive follower added: “The only thing that changed here is the type of microphone, and if that works better for you, then give it your all and keep moving forward because opinions don’t matter.”
Another user accused the singer of lying, however: “What you’re saying is a lie! People can’t be fooled like that, no matter how much publicity you want to create. On OnlyFans, one can make money, and a lot, but in the screenshot you show, it’s clear that the date you raised the money is from April 11 to May 11. One month, people are blind.”
But Seidy La Niña doesn’t plan to let any of these comments sway her from her new path. In fact, she promises to showcase her “darker side” on her OnlyFans profile. She also has adopted a provocative aesthetic, complete with sensual photographs and videos.
And this new path is thanks to the help of Castro. La Niña even shared footage of her thanking Castro with a McDonald’s Happy Meal.
“I feel incredibly grateful to you and your husband for opening the doors of your home to me and for teaching me the techniques to make money. This is my gift for you”, said Seidy in the Instagram video.
