Down in the Subway


Japanese singer-songwriter KEY gives us another reason to love the L train. His incantatory renditions of classics like the Thompson Twins’ “Hold Me Now,” VU’s “I’ll Be Your Mirror,” or Robert Johnson’s “Love in Vain” can be heard late nights on the First or Sixth Avenue platform. For those who frequent less salubrious trains, the self-taught vocalist will sing two songs at CBGB’s downstairs lounge.
