Dir. Andy Warhol (1966).
Impersonating Hedy Lamarr, Mario Montez maintains a gracious hauteur through a lengthy “face lift,” a nasty collar at the hands of tough girl Mary Woronov, and a trial during which the her five ex-husbands testify against her. The movie is a tad lethargic; other attractions include Jack Smith, looking bored in the role of the star’s lone fan, and the Velvet Underground (still in their early avant-drone phase) vamping throughout.
