Back-to-School Sushi Burrito Deal for Students

Today through September 30, students can get a two-for-one deal on sushi burritos at all Uma Temakeria locations. Students who follow @umatemakeria on Instagram and follow instructions at umatemakeria.com/backtoschool will receive a digital coupon to redeem in store with a current student I.D.

Latitude 29 Tiki Takeover

Boilermaker (13 First Avenue)
Monday and Tuesday, 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Boilermaker will transform into a tiki-themed cocktail bar for two days this week. Cocktails  ($15 each) include a coconut milk and rum mix as well as a riff on the classic Jungle Bird. The bar will also offer special boilermakers ($12 each) and island-themed entertainment.

Chef’s Story Featuring Marc Murphy
International Culinary Center (462 Broadway, Second Floor)
Tuesday, 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Chopped judge and chef Marc Murphy of Ditch Plains will appear live for an episode of Heritage Radio Network’s Chef Story. The event is free to attend, but guests register in advance here.

Patron Tequila Dinner
American Whiskey (247 West 30th Street)
Wednesday, 7 p.m.

American Whiskey’s tasting series kicks off with a menu pairing select dishes with Patron cocktails and neat pours. For $50 (tax and gratuity not included), guests can enjoy cheese and shrimp-stuffed bacon-wrapped jalapenos, grilled meats, and steak fajitas. Each course will be accompanied by one unique cocktail. Sumo and sushi collide at Nomiya Night, where New York Sushi Ko’s John Daley will curate several Japanese courses to accompany live sumo wrestling. The event also includes cocktails by Black Crescent and sweets by Prohibition Bakery. Tickets start at $150. Reserve yours here.
