Best Place for Feeling Like You’re in Twin Peaks

On the first Tuesday of every month, you can take a trip to Twin Peaks — OK, actually Crown Heights — courtesy of Butter & Scotch’s owners: Keavy Landreth and Allison Kave. Known for its delightfully sweet and buzzy atmosphere — dessert and booze are the name of the game here, after all — this cozy neighborhood bar makes a delicious production out of grabbing Lynchian-themed drinks on a school night. Try the morbidly monikered Laura Palmer Wrapped in Plastic — it’s blue! Or sip on the damn fine Coffee & Doughnuts on the Rocks (with Cinnamon Toast Crunch–infused rum and espresso liqueur). And we could write an epic poem about that gorgeous Cherry Pie That’ll Kill Ya. Thanks to a friendly staff and an old-school soda shop vibe, it feels like you might run into a sweater-clad Audrey Horne at the next barstool. And that’s not such a far-fetched idea, considering there’s a freebie deal for diners who don Twin Peaks–inspired garb.
