Dir. Frederick Wiseman (2001).
Wiseman’s excellent 32nd film, a harrowing look at wife-battering and related matters, was mostly shot at group therapy sessions and interviews at a shelter for battered women and their children in Tampa, Florida. It’s long (over three hours), but engrossing throughout, and the final sequence of two cops attempting to calm down an hysterical couple is memorable.
